OTC Desk

OTC stands for “over-the-counter,” it refers to a way of trading assets directly between two parties, taking place entirely off exchange. Our OTC desk acts as your personalised intermediary to alleviate any protentional complications involved in liquidating large positions. Additional benefits include:

There are no trading fees for OTC. However, the quote is inclusive of the spread (difference in price between the bid and ask), which is often between 0.75% and 1.0%. The size of the spread is dependent on the current market conditions of the asset you are trading, as well as the size, or volume of the trade.

Our team can also provide indicative quotes before any trade, to help you assess the market.

OTC trades are settled directly into your BTC Markets account, in your requested currency. Most trades enjoy immediate settlement.

If a limit increase is needed to support the value of your trade, our team will happily assist you in this process and liaise with our Risk & Compliance team.

Once a trade is completed, we provide an invoice documenting the full details of the trade, for you to keep as record.

You must hold a verified account with BTC Markets of any type. We support Individual, SMSF, Company and Family Trust.
