BTC Markets is celebrating the arrival of SPX6900 (SPX) on our platform with a special price prediction challenge.

Launched in 2024, SPX6900 has rapidly gained traction as a decentralised Layer 2 solution focused on scalability and low-cost transactions. Its growing ecosystem has positioned it as one of the emerging networks driving Ethereum’s next phase of adoption.

To mark its first listing on BTC Markets, we’re inviting our community to take part in a fun competition.

Terms & Conditions

WHAT’S THE PROMOTION?

1.1 The SPX Listing: Price Prediction Challenge promotion is conducted by BTC Markets Pty Ltd ACN 164 093 887 ("BTC Markets", "we", "our") in accordance with these terms and conditions.

1.2 BTC Markets invites eligible participants to predict the price of SPX6900 (SPX) in AUD at exactly 12:00 PM AEDT on March 11, as recorded on the BTC Markets exchange.

1.3 The five (5) closest predictions to the actual SPX price at that time will each win AU$100 worth of SPX, with a total prize pool of AU$500 worth of SPX.

1.4 The promotion period runs from March 4 at 11:59 AM AEDT to March 11 at 11:59 AM AEDT, unless otherwise extended or shortened at BTC Markets’ sole discretion.

1.5 By entering into the promotion, you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Do not participate if you do not agree to these terms.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

2.1 To be eligible to participate in the promotion, you must:
(a) be at least 18 years old and ordinarily reside in Australia
(b) be our customer and hold an active BTC Markets account
(c) act in good faith and not breach any applicable laws
(d) comply with the terms and conditions of the relevant social media platform
(e) comply with any other promotional requirements stated at www.btcmarkets.net
(f) comply with the Terms of Service of your BTC Markets account

2.2 The promotion will only apply to those who:
(a) visit BTC Markets’ official Facebook or X (Twitter) page and locate the promotion post
(b) comment with their prediction for the SPX price at exactly 12:00 PM AEDT on March 11 in AUD, using the BTC Markets SPX/AUD price
(c) enter using a public personal social media account (not private), to allow for winner contact and verification

2.3 Only one entry per person per social media account is allowed.

2.4 We reserve the right to disqualify any entry if we believe you have:
(a) engaged in any fraud or abuse of the promotion
(b) breached any of our standard terms and conditions

Disqualification can occur at any time, even after entry or notification.

2.5 Winners will be selected according to clause 4 below.

2.6 If you are selected as a winner:
(a) We will contact you via direct message on the relevant platform. You must respond and claim your prize within 7 days of being contacted
(b) You may be required to verify your eligibility, BTC Markets account, or identity

2.7 BTC Markets is not liable for any delay, technical issues, or loss associated with the prize or this promotion.

GENERAL INFORMATION

3.1 These terms and conditions apply in addition to BTC Markets’ Terms of Service.

3.2 These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, and both parties submit to the jurisdiction of those courts.

3.3 We may update these terms or cancel the promotion at any time without notice. Continued entry after a change is acceptance of the new terms.

3.4 Prizes are non-transferable.

3.5 If any term is deemed invalid, it does not affect the remaining terms.

SELECTION OF WINNERS

4.1 Five winners will each receive AU$100 worth of SPX.

4.2 Winners will be selected as follows:
(a) The five entries that are the closest to the SPX price at 12:00 PM AEDT on March 11, using the BTC Markets SPX/AUD price
(b) If multiple predictions are equally close, the earlier comment will take priority

4.3 SPX prizes will be deposited into each winner’s BTC Markets trading account within 14 days of winner confirmation.

4.4 The winners' social media handles will be published at https://www.btcmarkets.net/blog on March 11 at 12:00 PM AEDT.

4.5 Winners must accept the prize by March 16 at 12:00 PM AEDT, or the prize will be forfeited.
