What is Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA)?

Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) is a popular and tested strategy to invest without timing the market. It involves investing a set amount at regular intervals, regardless of market conditions or cycles. What is Recurring Buy?

Recurring Buy is the BTC Markets feature that automates a DCA strategy for you. It lets you schedule purchases daily, weekly, or monthly, helping you build your portfolio steadily over time without needing to time the market.

If you've used this feature before, you may know it by its previous name, Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA). It's the same tool, now called Recurring Buy.

Which assets are available for Recurring Buy?

Recurring Buy on BTC Markets is available across a growing range of digital assets, including SOL, USDT, SUI, HBAR, ADA, AVAX, XLM, DOT, and NEAR, alongside previously supported assets such as BTC, XRP, ETH, LTC, LINK, and ALGO.

How to set up Recurring Buy

Setting up a Recurring Buy is simple and can be done in a few easy steps:

1. Select Recurring Buy from the BTC Markets Exchange main menu to get started.

2. Click the Create button in the top right corner.

3. Enter your transaction details in the pop-up window:

• Asset: Select the digital asset you wish to purchase.
• Amount: Enter the AUD amount for each recurring purchase (minimum $10, maximum $1,000).
• Repeat: Choose whether purchases occur daily, weekly, or monthly. You can specify the days of the week or the date of the month.
• Time of day: Select when you want the purchase to be executed.
• Time zone: Choose your time zone by entering the name of your capital city.

4. Click Continue to confirm the details and complete the setup.

5. Your Recurring Buy plan will now appear in the Recurring Buy section of your account.

Note: If a transaction cannot be processed due to insufficient funds, you will be notified by email. In the event of a system outage, the transaction may not be executed.
