New Mobile App Release: Dark Mode!

Since launching the mobile app last year, one of our most frequent customer requests has been to provide a global dark mode theme. We're excited to advise that this feature is now available in our latest release. Update your version or download the app now from the App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android).

Please note: Our new app releases to the App Store no longer support iOS 14. Only iPhone users running iOS 15 or later will be able to download this latest release.

What's New?

Our old design and colour scheme didn't allow for an easy and accurate contrast between light and dark mode, so during the recent re-design of our platform, our designers and developers made sure this was a key consideration in our new branding styles.

First came the light mode version... now comes the highly anticipated dark mode feature!

What is dark mode?

Dark mode, also known as 'night mode', is a display setting available on most modern mobile and laptops devices.

Instead of a default dark text on a light background (known as ‘light mode’), dark mode is a light text on a dark background.

Dark mode aims to reduce the light emitted by device screens while maintaining the minimum colour contrast ratios required for readability.

Are there any benefits to using dark mode?

Beyond looking awesome, dark mode has some other great benefits:

• It provides a great viewing experience for users in low-light environments, reducing the impact of your screen brightness on yourself and those around you;
• Less 'blue light' is emitted from your phone screen while using dark mode, so you might find it easier to get to sleep if you use your phone before bed; and
• If you have a device with an OLED screen, then dark mode uses less energy and will therefore help your battery last longer.

How do I set up Dark mode on my phone?

Light mode is still generally the default setting on your device, so you'll need to make the change within your phone settings (usually within the display settings). The specifics of how to switch to dark mode will depend on the make and model of your phone, but general set-up guides are provided below:
